Workshops:

In the Band
Alan Hockett and Damien Robinson
Focal Point Gallery Foyer, The Forum Secondary Entrance

Inspired by Jemima Stehli’s exhibition ‘Endears me, yet remains’, work with artists Alan Hockett and Damien Robinson to transform yourself into a member of our model band. Mixing collage and photographic techniques, you’ll make a miniature 2D model of yourself and the instrument you’ll play, photographing them playing live on our miniature stage set.

Text as Image
Sophie Sleigh-Johnson
Focal Point Gallery Project Space

Sophie Sleigh-Johnson will lead a workshop experimenting with enlarged text. Using Jemima Stehli’s Artist’s Statement and her close-up landscape photos, we will have fun building text into imagery. You can build and bind your own selection of texts from a collection of archival material.
