Free Family Workshops:
These are free workshops for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Book your activities on the day in person, Focal Point Gallery will be open from 10.00am.

Morning sessions:
10:30am to 11.30am and
11.30am to 12.30pm

Afternoon sessions:
1.30pm to 2.30pm and
2.30pm to 3.30pm

Dream Machines

Rick Buckley, along with Sophie Sleigh-Johnson, will be referring to his exhibition ‘Black Bile 84’. Using templates from one of Buckley’s sculptures, you will be making paper cut-out ‘Dream Machines’.

Artists Calvin Laing and Mary Lister will guide you in the skills of casting using ordinary objects found in your pockets, and making your own unique sculptures.

Artists Rachel McGivern and Jess White will reference Paul Johnson’s exhibition, ‘The Sunless Sea’ and the representations of genuine historic artefacts as the inspiration in this mask-making activity.
