  • Reading Salon: 'News from Nowhere'
    Selected by David Mabb
  • 3 April 2014, 7pm
  • FPG Project Space

The Reading Salon meets for informal discussion, encouraging both a critical engagement with contemporary art and an open space for debate and learning. To coincide with David Mabb’s exhibition ‘Announcer’, the Salon will focus on chapters 1 to 7 and 21 to 28 of William Morris’ utopian novel 'News from Nowhere' (1890).

Join Sophie Sleigh-Johnson to discuss 'News from Nowhere' in relation to themes of modernity and the symbolism of the River Thames within industrialised society. The event is free and all are welcome to attend. Material will be available upon request ahead of the event.
